Ferrying the Lost
Just in time for Halloween, I'm sharing this piece inspired by the prompts "mirror," "sought," "ghostly," and "near" from a recent poetry festival. It depicts a journey into the shadowy underworld, where a lone spirit is ferried across the river Styx by the Grim Reaper. The ghostly figures reaching out from the murky depths add a chilling touch, and the overall mood is one of eerie beauty and melancholy.
